When Becca eats, food ends up going to the dogs - usually because she drops it, but sometimes because she just leans over and feeds it to them, which she thinks is very fun.

February 20, 2011 - Becca's First Hiking Trip

Okay, so it wasn't really much of a "hiking trip" -- more like an afternoon walk in a nearby city park yesterday. But you have to start somewhere, right? We're trying to get her used to riding in the Ergo carrier before we attempt something more lengthy. She did get tired of being in it after a while, but I think she still had fun.

I think I missed last week, so here's two pictures this week...

And, Becca had her 9-month checkup this past week (a few days early) - she weighs 19 pounds and 2 ounces, putting her still a little bit above average. No shots this time, thank goodness!

Last Monday Becca was 8 months old. Time is flying! She is not crawling, but she is really close. She says "da-da" and I'm pretty sure she knows what it means! She tries to say other words, but "da-da" seems to be her favorite. She can sit on her own really well, and she's trying to pull up on things. If you wave at her, she will usually wave back - especially to strangers in a store. She has five teeth - two on the bottom, three on top, with another one on top coming soon. She's eating almost any baby food you give her, plus a few other things like yogurt (which she really loves), sweet potato fries (oven baked), and peas. Mealtimes can sometimes get really, really messy...
